Feast of Holy Innocents!

If you are not already aware... today is the Feast of Holy Innocents. It is also known as Childermas.
The feast day is meant to commemorate the martyrdom of the innocent babies.

And the king of Egypt spoke to the midwives of the Hebrews: of whom one was called Sephora, the other Phua, Commanding them: When you shall do the office of midwives to the Hebrew women, and the time of delivery is come: if it be a man child, kill it: if a woman, keep it alive ...Pharoh therefore charged all his people, saying: Whatsoever shall be born of the male sex, ye shall cast into the river: whatsoever of the female, ye shall save alive.     Exodus 1:15-16, 22:
Please keep in mind all the other murdered infants which are holy & innocent- especially those that have been victims of infanticide & abortion. Please pray for all children which have passed from this world to the next- that they may join their creator- Our Heavenly Father- in everlasting life. Pray also for an end to abortion, murder, violence, child abuse, etc.

ALL SOULS DAY!

Hello!
Today is November 2nd... you know what that means... ALL SOULS DAY! Did you know that in Hispanic countries this is celebrated as "Dia de los Muertos" or Day of the Dead- with good reason! All Souls Day is a special time of the liturgical year set aside specifically for us to pray for the dead. There are many different cultural customs and responses to this feast day- in many countries "altars" are created with pictures of loved ones that have passed away. Some of us get together with family and pray for our deceased family and friends - others do not do anything at all. Regardless of what we usually do- DON'T FORGET TO PRAY FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY! I encourage everyone to adopt this particular devotion. It truly has a domino effect that can literally change the world. As we pray for the souls in purgatory, G-d in love and mercy releases them- that they may join Him for eternity in His Heavenly Kingdom. There, thus, are more souls in heaven capable of interceding for us- the individuals that helped released them. How much more grateful will such souls be to the Catholic that prayed for the release of their soul? *** Hopefully you understand, when we pray for ourselves- G-d hears our lonely cry. When we pray for the souls in purgatory- THEN- ourselves- asking for the intercession of spirits in heaven, G-d hears not only our prayers but the also the prayers of the souls in heaven-as they intercede on our behalf.Praying for the souls in purgatory- has, then, a sort of multiplier effect. Additionally, it is our duty as Catholics to pray for them! I sincerely urge you to pray the St Gertrude Chaplet below- Christ promised her every time it is recited 50,000 souls would be released from Purgatory!   But hey, you don't have to use just on All Souls Day- you should pray it continually throughout the year! May G-d open your heart & mind & may He bless you & your family-now & forever! Pax Vobiscum.

ON THE USE OF LATIN ...

"Pray in Latin whenever possible"   Benedict XVI [June 2005]

As Roman Catholics, Latin should hold a special place in our hearts. All too often I hear the same few- misguided arguments concerning that which I would like to briefly address... [In no particular order]
A. "Why pray in a language that I don't speak or understand?"
B. "Why Latin? Why not Hebrew or Aramaic- since this is what Jesus actually spoke?"
C. "Vatican II did away with all Latin..."

ORA PRO NOBIS
     - G-d has blessed Our Church with a special association to Latin; we have used it for thousands of years! Though I would agree that it would be difficult to learn a prayer directly in Latin... I believe this argument holds no validity- ESPECIALLY when we can learn said prayers in English first. Nobody is asking you to pray ONLY in Latin... but it would be a good idea- and a special dedication to G-d- to try to pray at least partly in Latin. I'd suggest that you begin with the sign of the cross, [In Nomine Patri, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti] and the Glory Be. . . From there you can go on into the Ave Maria [which I learned by repeatedly listening to the hymns and opera] and the Pater Noster [which I am currently learning via listening to Gregorian Chant- on repeat... while reading along with the words printed].  Nobody is asking you to learn the language- or even speak it! But I think you would just try to even read it- it would be pleasing to the Lord.
To this you must forgive me for saying so- but THANK G-D ITS LATIN! I'm given to understand that Hebrew and Aramaic quite difficult to learn- in both reading & writing and speaking. Latin is the language of the Church because Christianity [Catholicism was the only one present at the time] began IN THE ROMAN EMPIRE- hence the Latin. We continue to use Latin because it is what we have always used. We ceased to use Hebrew because not all Christians were Jewish... there were many converts who did not know a lick of Hebrew.  I shall leave you with this for now... but I will return to the subject soon.

For now, please think about praying- at least a little bit- in Latin. It does awesome things for our soul [-the actual definition of the word- not as in "cool"]. Trust that G-d knew- and knows what He is doing. What the mind cannot comprehend - the heart and soul can. Trust that your soul will understand it... don't resist... it might feel alien at first- but I strongly encourage you to try. Just do that- try. No need for long term commitments... just a simple little prayer.      May G-d Bless you now and always. In Nomine Patri, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti.

PAX VOBISCUM.

Hello my dear Catholic friends...

Its been about a week and I have a few things to say...
Sancte Mater Ora Pro Nobis.
1. Its that time again.... As Catholics we are being asked to vote responsibly- this means above all choosing a candidate that is PRO-LIFE! Our bishops and our Church encourage us to give this serious thought before casting a vote- For more on the Catholic-conscious voting and Christian politics please visit www.CatholicVote.org

2. Have you heard of the Society of St. Michael? I can't help but wonder if they may be interested- or persuaded to join ranks with the Archangelati.

3. There is a Catholic guy from the UK- whom I am subscribed to on Youtube. I just found out he has a blog here- and it is wonderfully composed. If you are interested I highly recommend that you check it out- the link is right here. It truly is excellent.- let him know I say so.

4. I uploaded a new video- on Sola Fide vs Faith & Works teachings and scripture... please watch

Vocations.... are you being "Called"?

Lets face it- a life as a priest, brother, or nun... kinda scary for the average person. I know!- been there!
Its important not to allow our fears to over come us though- for with God all things are possible.... so if you feel there may be even the slightest possibility that you are "called" or that someone you know is.... please watch this little video I made. AH HECK! just watch it anyway- and please send it to Catholic friends so that they may be encouraged as well.

My advice for the day...

You are beautiful just the way you are. God planned every aspect BEFORE He created you! Even though we sometimes forget to give Him credit- He did a pretty good job with you. You are beautiful not because society says so- but just because you are you.

YOU ARE LOVED!

Just wanted to take a moment to remind you that the Holy Father LOVES YOU! Not in a cheesy superficial way- its not a slogan but a deep and sincere truth. We've all heard John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that all who believe might have eternal life"
I want to remind you that God loved us so much he sent us His son 2000 years ago. He STILL loves us so much that he CONTINUES to send us his son in the Blessed Sacrament - the Holy Eucharist again and again and again throughout the ages.

As you go about your day keep this in mind!
God Bless

Pope Benedict & LATIN

I recently read an article that Pope Benedict is encouaging young seminarians to learn how to perform the Tridentine Mass [in Latin] and to become fluent/proficient in the language- as it is the official language of the Church. Additionally, priests no longer need the permission of the Bishop in order to perform a Latin Mass- as long as they have the proper training. There were many comments at the bottom of the article that were attacking this conservativge Catholic move... I just don't understand this. Latin has been the language of the Church- and Mass- for centuries. Why should we lose this sacred tradition if we know that we can take simple steps to preserve it? Furthermore, many people have left the institutional church for want of Latin and tradition- they have created the "Sedavacanist" sect... After all the protestant-like changes of Vatican II - a move back towards tradition has been long overdue and is gladly welcomed in my books...

Wat do you think?  Latin or vernacular? which is more appropriate?

Recognition of our group

It seems to me that there are great negative forces that are continually working against our cause. Our post on Wikipedia concerning the movement has been removed by Fascists with ridiculously picky claims. We shall try again! In other news, more videos have been posted by many of the members on Youtube. Leave me a comment if you would like a link or more information.
Below is the link to a new cite created by one the other founding members. I suggest you check it out
